Michael Siskin has been in the flooring business for most of his life. A graduate from Temple University in Philadelphia, he acquired a dual BBA degree in Management and Marketing. After graduation, he started his career as a sales representative for Galaxy Carpet Mills, where he pioneered the brand in Maryland and Delaware. He grew the brand to one the top-producing territories in the country and won several sales awards during his tenure. His ability to grow and maintain strong business relationships over many years was key to his success.

In the mid 1990’s Mohawk Industries acquired Galaxy Mills, and Michael was promoted to District Manger. Michael’s team of 15 sales representatives was one of the highest-producing districts in the mid-Atlantic region. In 2002, Mohawk promoted him to West Coast General Sales Manager, which relocated him to Northern California.

Michael joined EcoTimber in early 2007. "I was attracted to EcoTimber's environmental mission, and its dedication to quality. Here was an opportunity to help change the way our industry looks at the products we sell." After many years of experience with a world-class mass marketer, he’s having a great time bringing his laser-sharp marketing focus and experience to a smaller, but rapidly growing, organization. In his spare time, Michael likes keeping fit by playing tennis and working out in the gym. He also enjoys photography, live theater, and travel.
